Jake Miller is a non-professional actor who played the character Jared in Gus Van Sant’s film Paranoid Park (2007)[1]. The script, based on a novel by Blake Nelson, takes place in Portland, Oregon, and tells the story of how a frightened schoolboy remembers an incident that will haunt him for the rest of his life. The film premièred at the 2007 Cannes Film Festival as one of the 22 films in the competition, and won the 60th Anniversary Prize.
Jake featured in the September 2007 edition of Teen Vogue as one of "Hollywood's next big things"[2].
