[edit] Character biography

Jake, the brother of established character Margo MacClaine (Lauren Koslow), arrived in Los Angeles in 1990 and became Stephanie Forrester's (Susan Flannery) tennis instructor. Stephanie's daughter (and Margo's friend), Felicia (then played by Colleen Dion-Scotti; now Lesli Kay), soon met and fell in love with Jake, but Margo warned Felicia (who was unaware that Margo and Jake were related) to stay away from Jake. Felicia ignored Margo's advice, and soon discovered that Jake was Margo's brother and that Margo had never forgiven him for leaving home when they were young. Felicia was perplexed when Jake refused to make up with his sister, and also rejected Felicia's sexual advances. It was soon revealed that Jake had been molested as a child. He angrily confronted his father, whom he believed to have been responsible for the abuse, but it was then discovered that the real perpetrator was Jake's uncle, Charlie (Chuck Walling).

Jake and Felicia were happy for a while, but were split up when Jake had an affair with Macy Alexander (Bobbie Eakes). Jake left town with Margo in 1992 after being accused of stealing the formula for Forrester Creations' BeLieF anti-wrinkle cream.

On November 14, 2007, Jake returned to the canvas, and was working for the Forresters as a lighting-technician. He helped organize the infamous fashion show where Stephanie Forrester was shot.
