Most Jain literature was written using one of the following languages:
- Sauraseni
- Ardha-Magadhi
- Prakrit (Agamas, Agama-Tulya, Siddhanta texts, etc).
- Sanskrit
- Apabhramsha
The "Aabhidhan Rajendra Kosh" written by Acharya Rajendrasuri, is only one available Jain encyclopedia to understand the Jain Prakrit, Sanskrit, Ardha-Magadhi and other Jain languages words.
