[edit] History

In 2006, after extensive solo performances, Jaime Robbie formed The Paradise Three. The band grew from headlining shows at the Ding Dong Lounge, the Espy, Ruby's Lounge in Melbourne, and the The Annandale and The Hopetoun in Sydney to bigger stages at music festivals, such as: St Kilda Festival, and Queenscliff Music Festival. Their debut mini-album Fallen Flower was released June 9, 2007 through Green/MGM, Australia wide.[citation needed]

[edit] Styles and method

Sometimes called[who?] a leader of the "mid-2000s folk blues rock movement", JRRP3 influences are most commonly cited among late-sixties and early-seventies folk, blues and rock. Vocally compared to a "cross between Ryan Adams and Ry Cooder" by the All Music Guide.

[edit] Reception

The band's debut mini-album Fallen Flower (2007) was met with some critical acclaim. Australian Music Magazine Mess and Noise wrote:

You should hear the drumbeat on ‘The Blonde Hotel’! It’s like finding yourself smack-bang in the middle of a barn dance holding a live grenade.

The song Fallen Flower was named Single Of The Week by the Sydney Daily Telegraph. The band was also named as an "Artist You Should Know About" in Australian Rolling Stone (July edition, p29).
