Jahrom is a city in Fars Province, Iran.
It is located 190 km southeast of Shiraz, the capital of Fars province. Jahrom has a population of over 110,000 [[1]].
Many tropical and sub tropical plants are grown there (i.e. palm date, citrus, wheat). The biggest hand-made cave in the world is in the south of Jahrom and is called "Sang-shekan Cave".[citation needed] The people of Jahrom are Shi'a Muslims and speak Persian.[citation needed] Jahrom is the birth place of many famous people like Barbod, one of the first musicians in the world.[citation needed] The people of this city are famous for their religious tenet.[citation needed]

Jahrom's history goes back some 2500 years when the Achaemenids established the Persian Empire.
People of Jahrom are a mix of remnants of the Aryans which migrated from the north ages ago, and the indigenous population.
The Ariyans mainly immigrated form the northern Cyberia of Russian territory some 2500 to 3000 years ago.
