[edit] Deletion Request March 14, 2008
This was a one-hit-wonder news story in Canada in the early 1990s, some 15 years ago. There was no lasting impact on Canadian politics. It is not history or a current event,. it's just old news of no importance to anyone. Spoonkymonkey (talk) 01:28, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
- He was an MP, which makes him notable enough for an article anyway, right? ... discospinster talk 01:33, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
Does it? There are 310 MPs in the Canadian federal parliament and elections, on average, once every three years. That's an awful lot of nobodies. This guy lasted one term and was only famous for fudging his CV, and that was over ten years ago. Spoonkymonkey (talk) 20:37, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
- There's a whole category just for Liberal MPs so I guess that does equal a lot of "nobodies". The fact that the occurrence was 10 years ago does not make it any less notable. If you feel that the article does not need to stay, you can nominate it for deletion to see what the general consensus would be. ... discospinster talk 23:15, 15 March 2008 (UTC)
