Saúl Hernández Alfonso André César Lopez "Vampiro" |
Jaguares is a Mexican Rock en Español band lead by former Caifanes lead singer Saúl Hernández after that band's break-up in 1995. He started the band along with former Caifanes co-member Alfonso André (drums); and two long time friends Federico Fong (bass guitar) and José Manuel Aguilera (lead guitar). The band has had a successful career, most recently touring with Morrissey. The band got their name when lead singer Saúl had a dream of him singing inside a jaguar's mouth.[1]
Jaguares has a big fan base mainly of loyal Caifanes fans that continue to support Jaguares. Many continue to wait for a reunion such as Soda Stereo or Heroes del Silencio. Despite rumors the idea of a Caifanes reunion has been talked about and only in the present can band members share and work on the past for the future to be near. Former members have participated in recent Jaguares tours, such as Diego, Sabo and Manuel Aguilera. What remains is a building relationship between frontman Saul Hernandez and Alejandro Marcovich. Hernandez has had the opportunity to work on building a relationship and talking about the past in recent concerts were both artist have appeared on the same line up. Saul Hernandez has expressed interest in a reunion so as former and current members, the only thing he needs to do, is take a step forward, and make a Caifanes reunion a reality.
