[edit] History
Jagged "Jag" Fel is introduced as a young Corellian who grew up among the Chiss, a race of blue-skinned aliens in the Unknown Regions of the galaxy. He leads Spike Force into the Battles of Garqi and Ithor, and then stays on as a liaison to Colonel Gavin Darklighter's Rogue Squadron, possibly due to his attraction to the young Jedi Jaina Solo, who also served on the squadron. He joins Twin Suns Squadron when Jaina is given command. They begin to develop an intimate relationship. He fights in the Battle of Borleias, in which Jaina saves his life. Even though the Yuuzhan Vong win the battle, the New Republic escapes victorious after the Super Star Destroyer Lusankya rams the Vong worldship. At the end of the Yuuzhan Vong conflict, he becomes a Chiss diplomat and stays in Known Space.
His relationship with Jaina ends, however, after she shoots at him in The Swarm War, the third book in the Dark Nest Trilogy. Before Jaina shoots at him, she declares her love and tells him to eject; after the battle she immediately wishes to know his status, but is denied the information, and is not given permission to aid in the search for him.
In Tempest, part of the Legacy of the Force series, it is discovered that Jagged Fel has been shunned from Chiss society as punishment for Lowbacca's actions against the Chiss Ascendency, for which the Fel family took full responsibility. Jag helps Han and Leia Solo in their search for Tenel Ka's would-be assassins.
In Exile, Jag returns to aid in the search for Alema Rar and the Sith Lumiya. He had developed two devices to help him. The first was a program that used facial recognition while simultaneously tracking "glitches" in holorecordings that would indicate the use of the force to hide somebody's presence. The other was a device that sent electrical impulses through the body to convert short term memory into long term memory, negating Alema Rar's ability to erase short term memory. Luke Skywalker told Jaina, Jag, and Zekk to work together to try to find Alema.
In Inferno, Jag, Jaina, and Zekk help defend the Jedi Academy on Ossus in an attack.
In Fury he, Jaina, and Zekk track down Alema Rar. Jag's rigged special blaster explodes, taking Alema's one good arm with it. He kills her by snapping her neck with his crushgaunts, a present from Boba Fett to Han Solo along with a lightsaber-resistant beskar breastplate that Han wouldn't touch. He was severely injured during this fight but the end of the novel suggests that he will be fine.
