Jagadish Shetter is an Indian politician. He is now speaker of the Karnataka Assembly[1], and held the portfolio of Revenue ministry and Sugar in the HD Kumaraswamy Cabinet in Karnataka.
Shetter holds a BCom and LLB and was practicing law before entering into politics.
He started as a grass roots worker for BJP and slowly climbed the ladder of politics in Karnataka. Shetter has been opposition leader when SM Krishna was CM of Karnataka. He had been associated with many reforms including the Khalasa Banduri project. Shetter also known to be architect for bringing the BJP to power in 2006. Shetter has been a Member of the Legislative Assembly for Hubli rural three times.
