Jafar Bolhari, M.D., born in 1948 in Iran, is an Iranian psychiatrist and researcher. He is a professor of psychiatry in Mental Health Research Center, Iran University of Medical Sciences, and has been working as the director of Tehran Psychiatric Institute [1] since 1992. He has also been the director of Iranian Mental Health Research Network since its formation in 2006. His major areas of interest are community mental health services, spiritual and religious therapy, and drug abuse prevention programs. He has been one of the founders of the Program of Integration of Mental Health Care in Primary Health Care System in Iran. He is the author of several Persian-language books in for health care providers with different educational levels.
