Jadavpur Vidyapith

Jadavpur Vidyapith is a noted Bengali medium school in Jadavpur area of metropolitan Kolkata. The school was established in 1957 and its campus borders that of Jadavpur University. The school building also houses a teacher training institute belonging to Jadavpur University. The school is noted for its successes in both secondary (10+ level) and higher secondary (12+) examinations conducted by the relevant examination boards of West Bengal. The school has around 1500 students, mostly from the South Calcutta area.
The motto of the school is: "Enter to learn; Depart to serve".
Since late 70s the school started producing academically brilliant students and many of the alumnis are very well established in their professional career.
Today Jadavpur Vidyapith is known for its academic excellence and is rated one of the top five schools in Kolkata
