[edit] Jacob Shatzky

I find this name appearing in only one article here on Wikipedia. - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 13:25, 6 May 2008 (UTC)

  • I find him mentioned about three times (spelled Schatzky or Shatzky). Fine by me if your decision is not to restore it. I actually happened by it while I was reading about the different methods for article deletion and since I am learning the process I wanted to give you my opinion. In a situation like this (if I find an article tagged for speedy deletion by another editor) is it appropriate to remove the speedy delete tag and re-tag with {subst:afd1} or tag it as a stub? Does etiquette say that I should notify the editor who first tagged it? Thanks for the welcome and the feedback. Jacchigua (talk) 13:49, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
You should only remove the speedy tags under any one or more of the following conditions:
  1. You are not the creator of the article and disagree with the nomination for speedy deletion;
  2. The criterion referred to positively does not apply (i.e. db-band when the article is about a song or album and not the band itself);
  3. You are aware of the article subject's notability and can quickly locate some sources to establish such.
If you remove the speedy deletion tag, please explain in your edit summary or on the article's talk page why you feel the article should not be deleted.
If you are the creator of an article, do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Instead, place the tag {{hangon}} directly below the speedy deletion tag, and address the concern(s) on the talk page.
Hope this helps! - CobaltBlueTony™ talk 17:09, 6 May 2008 (UTC)
