Cedian is a language derived from Spanish and Germanic backgrounds, and the official language of the Peoples' Republic of Canadia. Roughly one of the world's newest languages, it's earliest traces date back to about mid 2004, in areas mostly consetrated around the Great Lakes. It is estimated that there are about 6-7 native speakers and about 10 fluent in the language worldwide. The language follows strick grammar rules; therfore there is bearly any slang ever used.

Many early remnants bring us back to the first inhabitants of areas of Cedian background, in which many people of spanish and German speaking descent lived. In fact, the languages are so close, a spanish speaking person and a Cedian speaking could almost communicate effectively with each other without ever using a common language. For instance, the spanish "ciruela", or plum, and the cedian word "si'ruela", sound almost exactly alike. For German though, not so much.

The pronunciation is very close to Latin, for some unknown reason, because as far as anyone knows the language has no influence on Cedian. Cedian has its own writing sytem (Cedian Script, but in more recent years has also adopted the Latin writing system, because of the cultural influence around it. The language contains no extra letters than the ones used in English, but it does not use the English letter "y".

Verb Conjurgatation

B- "buh"; almost like a soft mix between a B and a P

C- like "ch" in Charlie

D- "d" as in "Dad"

F- English "f" sound, except not so hardly pronounced

G- "g" as in "got"; sound does not change when put infront of "e" or "i"

H- not pronounced

J- "y" sound as in "yay!"

K- "k" sound as in "keep"

L- "l" sound

M- "m" sound

N- "n" sound

P- pronounced like a light f

Q- pronounced like a k, even when after a u, except when the U has a " over it

R- "r" sound, not trilled

S- "ss" sound as in "yes"

T- "t" sound, but pronounced more softly

V- like a light b sound

W- like an English "v" sound

X- "z" sound when before vowels, English "x" sound when after a vowel

Z- like a Cedian "s" sound

Vowels

A- "ah" sound

E- "ae" sound

I- "ee" sound

O- "0h" sound

U- "oo" sound

J*- "y" sound

• J is not always treated as vowel. For instance, when J is at the beginning of a word, it is treated like a consonant.

Dipthongs

There are no diptongs in Cedian, as each vowel is pronounced individually.

Double Consonants

Hh- harse "h" sound

Jj- "dj" sound

Ll- a mix between a "y" and a "l" sound

Zs- "h" sound

Other double consonants that are not on this list would be pronounced the same way in English.
