I believe that the original biography was correct. It was gathered from New International Encyclopedia.

This article incorporates text from an edition of the New International Encyclopedia that is in the public domain..

There was no "Jacques Vincent Ogé". Vincent Ogé the younger, the famous Haitian Revolutinary figure, was the son of Jacques Ogé [and probably the nephew of Vincent Ogé.] Jacques Ogé and Angelique Ossé had at least four sons: Joseph, Jacques, Vincent, and Jean-Pierre. I'm about to publish an article documenting all this. For more information, see my home page http://www3.uta.edu/faculty/garrigus

[edit] Merge proposal - same person?

Vincent Ogé and Jacques Vincent Ogé appear to be the same person - at least they have the same birth dates. It is confusing. Mattisse 17:28, 5 February 2008 (UTC)
