It is located next to the Pont de l'Estacade.

To what is this referring? I don't know of any bridge by this name. It is the that's located next to an ice structure (estacade). - Montrealais

-- Its the Bridge thats connects Ile sainte helene to montreal, next to laronde, Ile sainte helene metro on the yellow ligne and the casino de montreal.

What i wanted to know is that on the Champlain Bridge article is says "Approximately 49 million vehicles cross the Champlain Bridge every year" but on the Jaques Cartier article gets 43 million crosses making it the bussiest bridge in canada. One of those stats are obviously wrong.

Is it "Jacques-Cartier Bridge" or "Jacques Cartier Bridge"? 132.205.47.180 15:53, 25 Aug 2004 (UTC)

It really is "Jacques Cartier Bridge" although this is utter toponomic nonsense. --Valmi 04:26, 27 Aug 2004 (UTC)
"utter toponomic nonsense"?? Is this a serious encyclopedia or a non-serious encyclopedia? If this is a serious encyclopedia, then it's important to be precise. This article contains both "Jacques-Cartier Bridge" and "Jacques Cartier Bridge" and that's not very serious. 132.205.47.180 14:13, 3 Sep 2004 (UTC)
Oh, you should have mentionned that in the first place. Because of this "utter toponomic nonsense" it hadn't struck me that there was a mistake. I have corrected it now to the official, nonsensical spelling. --Valmi 15:13, 3 Sep 2004 (UTC)

OK, here's some facts. Most Quebec odonyms don't have an official English-language form. However, since this bridge is run by a federal body, it does have an official English-language name: Jacques Cartier Bridge. - Montréalais 03:40, 12 May 2005 (UTC)

[edit] Fair use rationale for Image:Stm logo.jpg

Image:Stm logo.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.
