Wondering how to edit this U.S. County Entry?
The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.

[edit] 1984

"In 1982, Jackson County criticised George Orwell's novel 1984 for being pro-communist and being sexually explicit. Most agree that 1984 was not pro-comunist and that any sexuality was essential to create a realistic plot."

Three problems here: 1. a county doesn´t criticise, a representative of a county does. Who did this? 2. Where is the source? and 3. How on earth is this a notable fact? I should note that this was picked up bz the Tallahassee, who evidently don't like Wikipedia or British spelling. [1]. - Ta bu shi da yu 08:52, 14 January 2007 (UTC)

This accussation seems to be true but was badly written , see Nineteen Eighty-Four#Controversy. and here and here Lumos3 16:04, 14 January 2007 (UTC)
And not notable. Nineteen Eighty-Four has been banned many times in many different places. It was banned in my high school, along with Brave New World, in 1960. -- Donald Albury 00:44, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
