[edit] Bow Strength

Actually, the firepower for Krausers bow is given in the Gamecube version as "10" ALTHOUGH I know the Playstation version is much less because in the GC version 1 arrow is usually (say 88% of the time) enough to kill an opponent but the Playstation version always require 2 arrows unless its a headshot. So, maybe a little more than a strong handgun?Jbk 15:13, 9 August 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Injection with Las Plagas

Krauser has a Plaga parasite injected into his body. This is not a fan-theory, but officially-confirmed info from Capcom. The Biohazard 4: Perfect Capture Guide (ISBN: 4575164364) has the phrase プラーガを体內に寄生させておリ ("the Plaga organism implanted into his body") in Krauser's bio in regards to his arm transformation. The fact that he is vulnerable to the PRL412 like all the other enemies also confirms this. And Ada's Report seems to pretty much confirm this as well (why the heck would he "fall to the temptations of Las Plagas" if he is not implanted with one). Jonny2x4 22:01, 3 December 2005 (UTC)

Invalidated by the game's own canon, as Ada also writes he had the arm long before the Las Plagas incident. Capcom's really keen on screwing over all attempts to put together coherent plots for their brand's games. I say just leave it be or add foots/more info later in the article. I'm going to have to agree with Papacha here. Krauser's arm is much more identical to a tyrant's arm, rather than an example of the Las Plagas infection, which leads me to believe that perhaps he had a little bit of the some virus that Wesker got ahold of, or something similiar. I also have the same opinion towards Krauser. His mutations looks more like those of previous RE creatures than of RE4. Three examples I think support this are: All of the people infected by Las Plagas have a pale or maybe even grayish skin. Krauser does not. All of the Plagas creatures have some sort of whiplike feature(except for the Novistadors, but I haven't inspected their bodies closely). Krauser's arm does not. Last one is that he is not being controlled by Saddler. Even though Ada's report states that controlling Las Plagas is done by sound waves, Krauser should still at one point be under total control of Saddler, even when not in range of the "ceremonial staffs" that transmit these sound waves. After all, Saddler was going to send an infected Ashley all the way back to America in order to fulfill his plan. Also as to falling to the temptation, it doesn't necessarily mean that it is because Krause has the parasite in his body. One thing I learned is that people go insane and get obsessed (example: The Birkins and the G-virus before William injected himself with it). One final thing that troubles me is that in one document, Saddler says that replacing the loss of Salazar and Chief Mendez was going to be hard because the Plaga manifests the persons state of mind, but he tells Leon that when the Plaga transformation was complete, he(Saddler) would make him(Leon) his personal bodyguard. Maybe it was a joke.

"Fall to the temptation of Las Plagas." So are Ashley and Leon also falling under the temptation?

Krauser's arm is not from the effects from Las Plagas. Its pretty clear that Krauser and Ada are working for Wesker, who wants to bring back Umbrella, which is still famous in the RE world for having viral creatures unleashed. We knew that Wesker and Krauser were working before RE4, so who isnt to say that Krauser got his arm from something Wesker fed him? I think the best assumption is that his arm is a strand of a new virus, or a mod of an old one that will be seen in a later rendition of Resident Evil?

[edit] Something Bothering Me

"Wesker had specifically ordered earlier that Ada was to deal with Krauser after his battle with Leon when wounded, should he survive." I think this might be speculation, from what I recall Wesker never specifically ordered Ada to kill Krauser

[edit] Krauser's Arm

I believe there should be an image portraying Jack Krauser with tentacle-like clawed arm. 0-172 02:41, 23 August (UTC)

[edit] Bow Use

It says in the gameplay section that Krauser uses his bow [with an explosive charge, similar to Ada's in Seperate Ways] in the ruins agains Leon. I was under the assumption that he was using a Mine Thrower. I have, however, seen him use the weapon only once on me and don't use the Mine Thrower all that much either, so I could be wrong. Can anyone clarify this? Razer of Chaos 16:25, 10 September 2006 (UTC)

→He is definately using a bow. Watch him with your rifle scope to get a good view...dont let him peg you thoughJbk 19:41, 15 September 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Just Thinking

Doesn't this guy look awfully like Rolento from the Street Fighter Alpha series? Complete with the scars and everything.

— I agree- but both are Capcom charactersJbk 16:56, 10 November 2006 (UTC)

Wikipédia is NOT a forum.
Forum? →Oh brother, its some speculation. At least sign your nonsense Jbk 15:50, 11 June 2007 (UTC)

[edit] Merge

Krauser is a secondary character in the game; why not merge his info into the article Characters in Resident Evil 4? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 87.196.104.85 (talk) 21:07, 9 February 2007 (UTC).
