[edit] Spelling

It appears that his name is spelled both "Froehlich" and "Froelich"

  1. The crater appears to be "Froelich"
  2. Social Security Death Index matches years here: JACK FROEHLICH 07 May 1921 Nov 1967 (not specified) (none specified) 558-12-9306 California
  3. Article says "Jack E. Froelich Memorial Award", but Caltech other sources say "Jack E. Froehlich Memorial Award"

Looking into it further, the Gazeteer of Planetary Nomenclature at USGS[1] says:

m Froelich 80.3 -109.7 58.0 5 Jack Edward (Froehlich); American rocket scientist (1921-1967).
m Froelich M 77.6 -109.3 29.0 5 Jack Edward (Froehlich); American rocket scientist (1921-1967).
