Talk:Jack-in-the-Box Effect

Even if the turret flies off, the tank can be repaired most of the time. Most tanks are repaired six or seven times after being knocked out in wartime before they become truly worthy for the smelter.

Destruction can be classified according to a four-tier criteria: light damage (can be mended in the field), medium level repair (semi-industrial workshop needed), industrial level repair needed (ship back to factory depot) and destroyed beyond repair (this is rare, e.g. when a T-72 hit a T-34 in the chassis with its 125mm heavy HEAT shell, even the hulk would fall apart at the seams when that happens). 82.131.210.162 (talk) 14:02, 17 March 2008 (UTC)
