"many people killed" ????? Please, where are these newspaper reports? Do shopowners defend their shops 24/7 against the hordes of murderers that wait to kill over the days takings? Can people walk to the bus stop without being killed for the bus fare?

I'd like to know, really... or can I write copy this passage into any suburb (say Toorak? maybe include it in the Melbourne page?) and let it sit there. I'll hang shit on Jacana as much as the next guy, but really? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 213.216.199.22 (talk) .

[edit] Murder Claim

"There have been many people murdered for openly exposing that they possess currency and valuables as little as 5 cents."

This passage appeared dubious and didn't list any sources. I intend to delete it. Aceya 16:24, 9 September 2006 (UTC)

Whoever wrote this page originally was basically maliciously making things up. There was barely a grain of truth in most of the assertions. Other elements (that Jacana was a name given to the area by one Alfred Holmes) seem to have no evidence attached and there's no real reason to give this statement any more credence than the other gibberish on the original entry.

[edit] Hungry Jacks

Hungry Jacks hasn't been in Jacana for years... Closed down, I assume because the people are too poor. ;) —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 84.190.121.100 (talk) .

What are you talking about? There is a Hungry Jacks in the service station in Jacana on Pascoe Vale rd. just before the Western Ring Road freeway onramp. Douche —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 202.76.188.156 (talk) .

Wow really? When did they open up again? That place was deserted for years. And when did "Douche" become cool again? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.114.239.124 (talk) 21:23, 12 February 2008 (UTC)
