Jacobs Island

Jacobs Island (island 0.3 miles (0.5 km) long between Hellerman Rocks and Laggard Island, off the southwest coast of Anvers Island. Named by Advisory Committee on Antarctic Names (US-ACAN) for Lieutenant Commander Paul F. Jacobs, U.S. Navy, Officer-in-Charge of Palmer Station in 1972.
