Jacob de Haan (composer)

Jacob de Haan (born in Heerenveen, the Netherlands, on March 28, 1959) is a Dutch composer, music arranger, and conductor. He took piano lessons at an early age, which started his interest in music. He got his musical education at the State Music Academy in Leeuwarden, where he studied trumpet, organ, and school music. He later lectured on arranging music at the same academy. Jacob de Haan currently lives in Rotterdam where he continues to compose new music. He is sometimes a guest conductor and often performs his own work. He also arranges music.
