Jacob, the Liar (German: Jakob, der Lügner) is a 1975 East German film directed by Frank Beyer and based on the eponymous novel by Jurek Becker. It starred Vlastimil Brodský in the title role. It was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
