Jackson City School

Jackson City School is a school serving grades pre-k through 12. It is located in the hills of Eastern Kentucky, in Jackson, Kentucky -- the county seat for Breathitt County. The current superintendent is Tim Spencer, and the principal is Jim Yount. The school Mascot is the Tiger and Lady Tiger. The school has made recent news because it has met or exceeded the standards set forth by the No Child Left Behind Act in all six years of the Act's existence.
