Jackie Mitchell (football player)

Jackie Mitchell (born July 30, 1976 in Winston-Salem, North Carolina) is a strong-side linebacker playing for the Saskatchewan Roughriders of the Canadian Football League.

Mitchell was signed as a free agent by Saskatchewan in 2000, and he has been steadily improving his game ever since. He was recognized as a CFL All-Star in 2003, and when healthy, he is one of the most effective linebackers in the league. He attended the Miami Dolphins' (National Football League) training camp in 1999. In College, he played for Southern University.
