Jackie McDonald

Jackie McDonald is the Ulster Defence Association (UDA) brigadier for South Belfast, whose activities gained considereable media publicity. Recently he has held peace talks with Irish president Mary McAleese and her husband Martin.
A resident of the Taughmonagh estate in Belfast (see [1]) , he was convicted of extortion in the 1980's. He appeared at the launch of Love Ulster and gave an interview for UTV.
