Jackie James is a Singer, Songwriter, Keyboard Player, Producer.

James wrote the No.1 million seller, "Heartbeat" for the group "Steps" going on to write more songs for the group. James has also written songs for Celine Dion, Jennifer Lopez and Kylie Minogue. Pop svengali Pete Waterman,who signed James to is music publishing,and worked closely with her,described her as the UK's version of Carol King.

She is also founder member and lead singer of "MistraLE" who had success in France and Spain with the single "Dance in the Moonlight"(Scorpio Records) co written by James. "MistraLE" toured France and Spain with "The Cool Breeze tour" which is one of the largest ever tours of France undertake by a non French artist.

She is co founder of "PowerHouse Music Inc" a songwriting and production company together with former Talk Talk keyboard player, Ian Curnow and manager Billy Royal.
