Jack Taylor was an anchor, host, announcer on WGN-TV#Notable_news_alumni, Chicago, Illinois from 1958. His career started on WGN radio and continued as a financial news anchor, commentator and interviewer on “The Stock Market Observer” on the part time financial news channel 26 in Chicago, Milwaukee, South Bend and Rockford, and WebFN, the 24 hour financial news network seen in over 100 countries until approx 2000(?).

...he has spent much of his career in radio, including Armed Forces Radio Service while in the Army, WINN, ABC Louisville, KMBC CBS in Kansas City, WCFL Chicago, WBBM Radio Chicago and FM 100 Chicago. In the course of his career, he has conducted more than 55,000 interviews with guests ranging from Marlon Brando to Presidents Ford and Reagan. - WKRS website.

Jack Taylor and his career are notable because of his longevity and ubiquity. To anyone who has ever been a viewer of WGN TV Chicago in the '50s through '70s or the Stock Market Observer in the '80s and '90s, Jack was a familiar face and Jack set the standard for other broadcast anchors to meet.
