Jack Morelli is a creator of comic books including the Film noir styled 1998 Peter Parker: Spider-Man Annual that was both written and lettered by Morelli and colored by his wife of over 20 years, Christie Scheele. He has recently written a book for Abrams publishing entitled "Heroes of the Negro Leagues" that was illustrated by his close friend Mark Chiarello, depicting the lives of the 60 greatest African-American baseball players from the years before Jackie Robinson integrated the sport. He is also a talented letterer who has worked for Marvel, DC and Archie Comics over the last 30 years. One of the fonts used by John Byrne to letter his comics is based on Morelli’s lettering.
