Jack McMullen

Jack McMullen (born 22 February 1991) is a television actor. He played Josh McGloughlin in Brookside in 2003, for which he won two Soap Awards and a Royal Television award. Since the show's end, he has starred in Phil Redmond's Grange Hill as Timothy "Tigger" Johnson. Chris Perry-Metcalf plays his brother Patrick "Togger" Johnson. Jack is from Liverpool and supports Liverpool FC.

[edit] Early life
Jack was born at Fazakarley Hospital on 22 February 1991. He was the second eldest grandson in his family. Five years later, his mother had another boy, Harry Mcmullen, on 15 April 1996. Jack was just five.

Jack started at Nikki Lindsay Casting and Drama at the Scout hut in Crosby soon after, where he still attends today. He passed countless LAMDA exams with high marks but was unlucky with auditions. After three years he took his brother with him to an audition for the part of Josh McLoughlin on Phil Redmond's Brookside. He got the part.

Jack won 2 Soap Awards and a Royal Television Society award[citation needed] for his performance, although sadly Brookside was cancelled.

Jack was called for the part of Tigger on Grange Hill by Phil Redmond, who previously gave him his part in Brookside. He won this part too. He still stars in Grange Hill today.

Jack recently appeared in BBC1's The Street.

- Nikki Lindsay of Lindsay casting and Drama has a sister, Rachel Lindsay who starred in Brookside about the same time as Jack.
- Jack has starred in a Phil Redmond short film alongside Ian Hart and Dougray Scott.
