[edit] Character history
Jack Hamilton Marone is the son of Dominick Marone carried by his wife Taylor Marone from eggs by the donor Ann Lloyd. A mix-up in the hospital records had resulted in Taylor being implanted with Brooke Logan's fertilized eggs, something that was not discovered by everyone until after Jack was born and desperately needed a bone marrow transplant from his biological mother. Brooke has recently signed over her parental rights to Taylor and Nick in order to save her relationship with Jack's half-uncle, Ridge. By all accounts Taylor is considered to be Jack's mother. Taylor asked her best friend Ashley Abbott to be Jack's godmother.
He has been in a custody fight between his father and legal mother. His father wants to raise him with his biological mother Brooke, but Brooke is engaged to his paternal half-uncle Ridge Forrester.
He was in full custody of his father Nick Marone after Taylor's custodial rights were stripped due to her alcoholism, and was being raised by Nick with the help of his former wife, Bridget Forrester, who presented him with a blanket that she had made for her deceased child, Nicole. Taylor regained custody of Jack in April 2008 and he currently lives in two separate homes.
