[edit] Biography
Lawrence burst onto the comic scene with his own title, Darkham Vale, which he created, wrote, pencilled, inked and coloured. The series ran for a self-contained ten issues, which received a startling level of critical acclaim, especially for a new creator and a small publisher. Although a second series, "The Dracou Imperative" was planned, it never got past Issue 1, due to a rights dispute with the publisher.[citation needed]
Lawrence then went on to find greater success with Lions, Tigers and Bears, written by Mike Bullock and published by Image. A four-issue series, Lions, Tigers and Bears was a surprise hit that revolved around a young boy and his stuffed animals. A second series is rumoured to be in production, with possible movies and video game tie-ins.
UK-based Lawrence also works on the British magazine, Jackie Chan Adventures, published by Eaglemoss and Action Man A.T.O.M., published by Panini.
