Jack G. Hatch is the Iowa State Senator from the 33rd District. He has served in the Iowa Senate since 2002 and is currently an assistant majority leader. He received his BS and MPA from Drake University.
Hatch currently serves on several committees in the Iowa Senate - the Appropriations committee; the Economic Growth committee; the Human Resources committee; the Labor and Business Relations committee; and the State Government committee. He also serves as chair of the Health and Human Services Appropriations Subcommittee. His prior political experience includes serving as a representative in the Iowa House from 1984-2002, serving as board member of Des Moines Water Works in 1998, board member of Des Moines Public Housing from 1996-1997, board member of Children & Families of Iowa from 1980-1984, and a congressional candidacy in 1995 and 1996.
Hatch was re-elected in 2006 with 10,204 votes, running unopposed. [1]
