Jack Frusciante Has Left the Band

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jack Frusciante Has Left the Band (Italian: Jack Frusciante è uscito dal gruppo) is the first novel written by Enrico Brizzi at the age of eighteen and first published in 1994. The name "Jack Frusciante" is a deliberate modification of John Frusciante, guitarist for the Red Hot Chili Peppers.[citation needed]

The novel, first published by independent Ancona-based Transeuropa, came out of print 15 times before they decided to sell the rights to more solid publishers.[citation needed]

By year 2000, the novel sold over one million copies in Italy only, a film was made and the book was published not only throughout Europe and in the US, but even in Japan, Korea and South America; today his author is still believed to be one of Italy's most popular young writers.[citation needed]
