Jack Ellis (rugby player)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jack Ellis (28 October 1912 - 27 November 2007) played scrum half for Wakefield R.F.C., Yorkshire, England and the Barbarians. He played for Yorkshire in 1938. His only appearance for England came in the 9-6 win against Scotland on March 18, 1939. Further opportunities never came as the Second World War broke out in September that year and no international rugby was played for the duration. At the time of his death he was the oldest surviving international English rugby player.
