John Francis Coffey (January 28, 1887 - February 14, 1966) was a reserve infielder in Major League Baseball, playing mainly as a shortstop for the Boston Doves in 1909 and with the Detroit Tigers and Boston Red Sox in 1918. Listed at 5' 11", 178 lb., Coffey batted and threw right-handed. A native of New York, New York, he attended Fordham University.

In a two-season career, Coffey was a .188 hitter (69-for-368) with 33 runs and 26 RBI in 110 games, including five doubles, six triples, and six stolen bases without home runs. He was a member of the 1918 American League champions Red Sox, although he did not play in the World Series.

Coffey died at the age of 79 in Bronx, New York.
