Jack Clough
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jack Clough was an international football referee in the 1950s.
Clough is the only person to have refereed both the English FA Cup Final (in 1959 between Nottingham Forest and Luton Town) and the French Cup Final (in 1957 between Toulouse and SC Angers) [1], [2]
He was invited by French federation at that time as the 40th FFF CUP was played under FA CUP model. French refs disagree this decision as FA did not appoint French ref for FA cup final.
This was the first and last appointement of a foreign ref on FFF cup final.
This version is given to me by the 1966' FFF cup final referee : Jean TRICOT (87 yrs and still alive and fit).
