Jack C. Hays High School
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Jack C. Hays High School is located in the Hays Consolidated Independent School District in the city of Buda, Texas. Hays High School is the oldest high school in Hays County and has recently undergone massive renovations. The school is home to the Rebels, in which the mascot is depicted dressed in the standard uniform of the Confederate States of America. The school district has banned the longstanding tradition of flying the Rebel Flag in front of the school due to the controversial and divisive nature of this historic symbol. However, the school fight song remains Dixie and there are no plans to change it.
[edit] Alma Mater:
We're Singing Now For Jack C. Hays, A man of honor all his days
To be a school of honor too and fight with pride for red and blue
We're proud to be apart of these, who joined as one in loyalty
All together now we stand a Rebel victory is at hand!
R-R-R-E-B B-B-E-L-S
As we chant our rebel name our binding tie will bring us fame
(Go Red! Go White! Go Rebels!
Fight! Fight! Fight!
Rebels Fight! Rebels Fight!
Rebels! Rebels! Fight! Fight!)
