Jack Bauerle

Jack Bauerle is the head coach of the University of Georgia (UGA) men's and women's swimming teams. In the spring of 2006, he finished his 27th year as a head coach for UGA. Bauerle began coaching the women's team in 1979 and later became head coach for the men's team as well in 1983.[1]

Bauerle has produced 4 NCAA Women's titles, 6 SEC Women's titles, and has been named NCAA coach of the year 5 times, SEC coach of the year 12 times, and was a 2000 Olympic swim coach. Bauerle graduated from UGA in 1975 with B.A. degree in English. In 2003 and 2005, Bauerle was head coach for the Women's USA World Championship Team.
On September 8, 2006, USA Swimming announced that Bauerle will be the head coach of the United States women's swimming team at the 2008 Summer Olympics.
