Jack's Gully landfill

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Jack's Gully landfill is a landfill located in Narellan, New South Wales, Australia. Jack's Gully was initially handed over to the State from the local authority in 1973 [1] as the existing council landfill at Springs Road became full. Jack's Gully Landfill is presently owned by WSN Environmental Solutions. Jack's Gully currently takes 115,000 to 130,000 tonnes of waste per annum from Camden, Campbelltown, Wollondilly and Wingecarribee councils plus a portion from Liverpool. Major redevelopment of the Jack's Gully landfill is underway into the EcolibriumTM waste centre under a 15 year contract recently awarded to WSN. This development will feature an ArrowBio mechanical biological treatment system, in-vessel composting and a visitor's centre [2].
