Jabal Saraj

Jabal Saraj or Its Arabic name (Jabal-ul-Siraj) is a district of Parwan province located north of the capital Kabul, Afghanistan. It is located on the way to Salang Pass and surrounded by high peaks of mountains.
Jabal Saraj is a historic city of Afghanistan named as it is currently name by King Habibullah in the beginning of the 20th century as this city was one of the favourite sightseeing areas for the King. The ruins of the palace and the other ancient sites can be seen as the city experienced consequences of the Communist Regime's invasion of Afghanistan.
