[edit] Edits on the Search Engine Optimization page
Quite a load of controversy on the search engine optimization talk page regarding external links. There are numerous excellent resources on the Internet providing information (unique in some cases). It is really a matter of individual preferences. A lot of other resources, which provide very targeted information have not been included.
I feel that a lot of excellent resources have been left out, which hold great value in context. Cre8asite forums, for example, is one of the most valuable sources of information on SEO. I also vote for Randfish's excellent ranking factors article at Seomoz.org, which has unbiased contributions from some of the most known names in the industry. Another resource worth mention here, for all things related to search engine marketing, is Marketingexperiments.com; the site has free access to notes and audio transcripts on practical experiments related to search engine marketing. There are many more; perhaps, an external resource page needs to be added for this article :-).
I have no personal interests in linking out to these sites; I am not professionally associated (barring access membership)to these sites in any way. It is just that I feel strongly that these sites offer indispensable information in context to the article.
Also, to make it very clear, my reverted edits were for clarity and better language use (perhaps that too is relative to individual predilections and multiple acceptable ways of language expression, and therefore, highly disputable). This is all too fine, but some people are just sitting out there to waste your time; beats me really, as in one instance, I saw an edit by someone who was doing it for "Grammer"(http://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Anchor_text&action=history); I think that most of us would agree on using Grammar.
[edit] link to British
Hello, when you want to link to the article about something British, please do not link to British, as that is a disambiguation page (which nothing should be linked to). Instead link to the one of the options found on that page such as United Kingdom or Great Britain by writing out [[United Kingdom|British]] or [[Great Britain|British]]. [edit] Speedy deletion of WiZiQ
A tag has been placed on WiZiQ, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD a7.
Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}}
on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Phgao 13:34, 17 September 2007 (UTC)
