[edit] Fair use rationale
Although Heesters is still alive and a free photograph could be taken today, he looks a bit different 65 years on. To show him at the height of his career, we have to resort to an older image (time travel for Wikipedian photographers has not been greenlighted yet). Although at the time of their publication (1930s and 1940s) reproduction of autograph cards by unauthorised personnel was limited (see inscription in the bottom right-hand corner of the image), even then their sole purpose was publicity. Today, there is no other way of showing Heesters in his younger years, so fair use for this image must be assumed.
In accordance with Wikipedia policy, the image is small and low resolution.
