[edit] About Paniponi Dash!

According to the Japanese version of Wikipedia, the discription about Rebecca Miyamoto was wrong. So I fixed it.

First, her father is a Japanese and her mother is an American (She said this in the interview with Hibiki Watanuki).
Second, she has an older sister called "Susan" by "The Professor".
--J. G. Yu

The Japanese version is wrong, or perhaps the manga has things written down differently. Episodes 1 and 2 both clearly have the captain introducing her as having an American father and a Japanese mother. I will not dispute the part about Susan (Becky is the second daughter of the Miyamoto family, but I don't know much about her older sister), but I am dead certain about her father and mother's nationalities. --Cless Alvein 02:06, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

You may be right. There may be different parts between the manga and the anime.
Actually, it says that the article in Japanese version is written on the discription about the manga.

I'll check my DVD out to solve this problem after I come home.
Thank you.

And would you tell me why you write Rebecca Miyamoto as "宮本 レベッカ(Miyamoto Rebecca)", not "レベッカ 宮本(Rebecca Miyamoto)", in Japanese?

Off course we Japanese usually write a name of a Japanese like "片桐 姫子(Katagiri Himeko)". But, if the person has an western name, we write it as "レベッカ 宮本(Rebecca Miyamoto)".
I don't know why, but this is natural in Japan....
--J. G. Yu

I think it's to reduce confusion. Writing her name in Japanese style keeps it more consistent, seeing as how the other characters have it written that way too. Of course, it's probably more technically correct to write it as レベッカ 宮本, so we can bring that up on the Talk page for the article :) --Cless Alvein 02:34, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

I've just come home and checked out my DVD.
You are exactly right! Sorry for my mistake...

I wonder why the manga and the anime has such difference, but this sure is the "official" answer.
--J. G. Yu 15:14, 28 July 2006 (UTC)

I guess the writers either made a mistake, or wanted it to be as confusing as possible :P Also, I've noted that you are trilingual. I'm trilingual too, and two of our languages overlap! I think that's pretty awesome :) At least there's a native Japanese fluent in English looking at this article, now. I've been worried about the accuracy of parts of this article, since they get filtered through the fansub group first. --Cless Alvein 00:11, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

Thank you for your responce again.
I'll help you editing the articles as far as I can, if you expect me to do so.

It can be.
As you may know, we have two official guidebooks of the anime edition here in Japan. The guidebooks say that Becky's father is a Japanese and her mother is an American, while the DVD says opposite.
It may be a intentional confusing or a joke which represents that Watanuki and the Aliens have less ability for intelligence service(^^; --J. G. Yu 06:55, 29 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Companies

No, it's just article titles, but the co/inc/ltd is generally given as the very first term on the article, such as at MediaWorks or Walmart.-- 10:44, 11 February 2008 (UTC)
