The question seems to be: What evidence is there for Hyland's historical notability?

That question may always be asked on Wikipedia with regard to community's that Wikiedia's self-appointed 'guardians' do not know, vut archivists in the Library of Congress use other standards, such as sociological import, moment,

Who ARE these authors? Matthew Scully had been a speechwriter for current US President, George W. Bush. His book is partially available from Google Books and is widely read in the vegetarian and animal rights communities.
