J. S. Sirén

Johan Sigfrid Sirén (May 27, 1889, Ylihärmä – March 5, 1961, Helsinki) was a Finnish architect. He graduated as an architect in 1931 and is best known for Eduskuntatalo, which is where the Parliament of Finland meets. The building was finished the year he graduated.

Sirén was a shareholder at "K. Borg, J.S. Sirén & Hj. Åberg" from 1918 to 1925. In 1931, Sirén set up his own office and also worked as a professor of Architecture at the Helsinki University of Technology until 1957.

Sirén's son Heikki Siren is also a renowned architect, as was his daughter-in-law Kaija Siren.
