Jonathan Paul Arencibia (J.P. Arencibia) is a Catcher/First baseman[1]who was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays of Major League Baseball 21st overall in the 2007 Major League Baseball Draft. Attended the University of Tennessee up until his draft day selection by Toronto in 2007.[2]

Arencibias professional career began in 2007, the Blue Jays assigned him to the Auburn Doubledays of the New York - Penn League. He began the 2008 season with the Dunedin Blue Jays of the Florida State League.
