J. Mark Martin

J. Mark Martin (19??—) is the senior pastor of Calvary Community Church in Phoenix, Arizona, a Calvary Chapel. He received a B.A. in theology from Pacific Union College in Angwin, California and for six years pastored in the Seventh-day Adventist Church. In 1982, he was forced to resign from being a pastor in the Adventist church.[1] [2]
He began Calvary Community Church, a non-denominational church in 1982 in a northwest Phoenix school band room that has since grown from 11 people into a fellowship of over 12,000. In 1984 an invitation was extended by Pastor Chuck Smith of Calvary Chapel in Costa Mesa, California to join the Calvary Chapel Fellowship of churches.[3]
Pastor Martin is the author of the newly released book "Psalms Today". The book is a 365 daily devotional through the book of Psalms.[4]
