J-Game was released by Taiwanese pop star Jolin Tsai in 2005. Previously, Jolin's songs were composed by reported boyfriend and fellow Taiwanese singer Jay Chou. However after a reported breakup between the two stars, Jolin worked with other composers on this album, including another popular Taiwanese pop star, Lee-Hom Wang. This album featured more hip-hop material than before, but still retained many of the upbeat dance tracks and pop ballads that made her popular in Asia. Selling 240,000 copies in Taiwan alone, J-Game was the second highest selling album of the year in the country as well (behind Jay Chou's November's Chopin).
The music video for Wild Game was released first to promote J-Game. Tsai shot music videos for nearly all songs excluding the music videos for Uh Oh and Killing Cupid which show scenes of her J-Game concert in Taipei. Sky (Tian Kong) became one of her most significant hits throughout Asia. The ancient Chinese music style inspired song Exclusive Myth was composed by Sony BMG singer-songwriter Leehom Wang. The Greek Girl by the Wishing Fountain was chosen to promote Motorola cell phones.
