Jüri Jaanson (born October 14, 1965 in Tartu) is the most successful Estonian rower, who has won five madals at Rowing World Championships. He became World Champion in Tasmania 1990 in the single sculls event. 14 years later he managed to win an Olympic silver medal in the single sculls event at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens. He is a member of rowing club "SK Pärnu" located in Pärnu.
